Does Cramming Work?

Cramming - Don’t Do It!

Time can really get to you when you are trying to study. Many people wait until the last minute and they end up trying to cram all the information in within a few hours.

So, this brings up an important issue - DOES CRAMMING ACTUALLY WORK?

When people are preparing for a test or exam, often cramming will turn into a habit that is overused. Many students resort to cramming for a variety of reasons self-justifying our behaviour with the lie that we have busy schedule… Am I right?

In many cases, cramming can be RISKY, since it ends up CAUSING STRESS FOR NO GOOD REASON!

As such, you end up making your brain work even harder in a shorter period of time, than it would if you were doing routine study. If you cram on a frequent and regular basis, it can actually become a HEALTH RISK.

One of my engineering school classmates had to drop out because of study-related, stress-induced health problems thinking he could take some time off and come back - that didn’t happen. Once out of school, he ended up ‘taking it easy’ with a less ambitious crowd and well, the rest is history. Not only did he not get back to Engineering, he never stepped back into a university classroom.

When possible, you should definitely use other methods of studying - other than cramming.

Not sure where to find great ideas? Consider reading my revolutionary learning e-book “Get Better Grades with the Least Amount of Effort.” It offers a lot of helpful knowledge, proven study tips, techniques and strategies that can help you study more effectively and get better grades.

SO DOES CRAMMING EVER WORK?

When you are healthy, well rested and don’t have a lot of “other stresses” in your life, the brain may deal quite well with a bit of cramming that occurs in the last minutes or hours of study before an important exam or quiz.

However, in most cases, if it works at all, you usually only end up with GRADES THAT ARE AVERAGE, instead of the BEST GRADES you could achieve if you studied more effectively.

One of the main problems with cramming is that you never get a great grasp of all the information and the relationship groups of information may have with each other - those inter-relationships are usually what teachers put in the exam!

Cramming can also lead to CONFUSION. Sometimes it can make information you already know even more confusing. You’ll also find that it’s hard to put the facts in your long-term memory as you are probably dealing with FATIGUE and FRUSTRATION as well.

If you don’t want to put your mind through all this, then make sure you avoid cramming for your exams and is you DO cram, you use my strategies to make the best of it!

It doesn’t matter whether you are studying in high school, college or business. If you are looking for ways to study more effectively it’s well worth checking out my ebook “Get Better Grades with the Least Amount of Effort.”

P.S. If you have any personal experiences or feedback on cramming, post it here on the blog as a comment!

ATTENTION: Parents looking to buy a study book for their kids

My results and those of my ‘students’ speak for themselves. The stuff I write about in my study book works – if your kids are using them all, then they should be getting TOP GRADES already and don’t need a book on how to get the best grades with the least amount of effort.

If they are NOT getting top grades, well they are either not that bright or not leveraging the strategies properly.

I trust it’s not leveraging the strategies.

90% of students are smart enough, but just don’t have good study strategies.

In fact the BEST results are from students who are not that bright BUT are open-minded to try anything to get better results. Their desperation opens their minds to the possibilities whereas the brighter ones just think they know it all.

I don’t know your kids, but I have a suggestion – First, buy the book. It comes with an 8-week 100% Money-Back Guarantee from ClickBank so there is NO RISK.

Then give the book to all of your kids WITH YOUR ENDORSEMENT AND POSITIVE ENCOURAGEMENT. Have them come back with their feedback ONCE THEY’VE TRIED A FEW OF THE STRATEGIES…

Let that be the test – the ultimate test. Without YOUR BIAS.

Your screening and interpretation of the content isn’t relevant – YOU HAVE A LOT MORE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTAND THAN THEY DO. What you think they need is not what they need. They are the only ones who can judge whether or not this can and does help them.

I have taught these strategies to HUNDREDS of students and I can say without any doubt that the PARENTS of those kids would have probably thought the same thing you’re thinking this is straight forward stuff – but it was about the KIDS’ perceptions, needs and results – NOT the parent’s interpretation.

If you play a sport at a competitive level, something as mundane as ‘watch or keep your eye on the ball’ seems simplistic. In squash for example, if I see that you are NOT watching the ball, there is no chance of you winning a point against me. I will exploit it EFFORTLESSLY. It is a KEY skill that every beginner needs to learn. The sooner, the better. But for an experienced player, it’s a ‘given’…

That being said, I published my eBook to get these strategies to as many students as possible – I believe in higher education and I also believe that too many people make it too hard for the average student to get better grades… These strategies work – if and only if the STUDENT has an open mind and believes they work and that he/she can make them work.

If you think they work, they work, If you don’t think they work, they don’t.

Either way, you’re right.

Go on and give them the gift of better grades right now - there is NO RISK and only upside - their grades will only improve and they will spend LESS TIME studying, worrying and getting stressed about exams.

Onward and upward!
Marc

P.S.

If you’re wondering if this book is applicable to younger kids - the answer is simple. If they can read, they can understand these strategies. In fact the younger students are MORE open to this mindset than the older kids. The older they get, the more entrenched in their beliefs they become.

Which is why MOST high school and Univeristy students don’t learn how to study properly because they THINK they know how and never research it. That’s why when you do use these strategies, you’ll get better grades than your classmates!

Easy Study Tip: Study By Objective Not Time!

When we first begin school, our parents and our teachers tell us that we should set aside a specific amount of time to study each day. Don’t make this mistake!

Many people continue to study by giving themselves an allocated time per day or per week to study a certain subject, all because they don’t know how to study any differently.

If you study with this “time” objective in mind - work will expland to fill the available time. If you give yourself two hours to read a chapter, guess what - that’s how long it will take.

If you are after results (and let’s face it we all are) change your approach to study by learning by objectives, not by setting yourself a timeframe.

This doesn’t mean that you should cut back on the amount of time you spend studying, it just means that you will be more focused on the outcome of your study rather than the time allocated to do it.

It sounds logical right? Most of my study tips are!

This study shortcut (found in Chapter 7 “Studying shortcuts guaranteed to work wonders”) and other great study tips, techniques and strategies can be found in my e-book Getter Better Grades with the Least Amount of Effort.

These will help you study more effectively and provide you with the short cuts to ensure you get better grades with the least amount of effort every time!

Merry Christmas and An Exponential New Year

What can I say, what a year it has been… riding the wildest roller coaster we’ve ever seen!

This is a time for reflection, introspection and yes a little bit of self analysis.

I highly recommend you write it in your journal so you have your key distinctions, insights and ideas for years to come. Of course you know to be creative, outrageous and ‘colour outside the lines’!!!

Once you’ve sat on the proverbial couch and reflected on the past, it’s then time to look to the future that awaits you… 2009.

2009 is the opportunity of a lifetime with chaos reigning everywhere, creating boundless opportunities out of thin air for all of us to leverage - exponentially. In big bites or tiny morsels, depending on your appetite for growth and expansion.

2009 is YOUR year, when all the investments of the past come together, as a ‘mind meld’ that combines your learnings to give you breakthrough after breakthrough just when you need one.

2009 is THE year when you start to TAKE ACTION, in both big and small doses because you know it’s time for you to move forward and put the past behind you once and for all. NOT because you don’t like your life, but because you know you deserve more - a lot more.

2009 is the turning point you’ll remember for a lifetime, when ‘things changed’ for you. Like turning the pages of a book, you start to write the NEW CHAPTER of your NEW LIFE, as you want to live it. You know this is now possible because you know what you know and that’s enough to get started. You also know that there is stuff you don’t know you know, but since you know it, you’ll soon discover you know you know it and voila! you’ll have a breakthrough to take you to the next level of performance, awareness and maybe even ’sense of being’.

2009 is your ultimate performance, just as though you were in a play, on stage. It’s when you become the person you’ve always known you could be. You step onto the stage on January 1st and COMMAND THE STAGE with your PRESENCE, AURA and CONFIDENCE. You transfix the audience who are your friends, family and colleagues to utter silence and amazement that you have ‘found yourself’ and are ‘being yourself’. The performance starts on January 1, 2009 and lasts a lifetime. YOUR LIFETIME.

2009 is when the calendar switches over and in an instant puts the past behind you. Once and for all, forever. Never to be lived again. A distant memory. A recollection to help guide you in the future whilst remembering only the good and priceless lessons that needed to be learnt to bring you to this point in time. The point in time that is…

2009. Step into it…

Easy Study Tip #1 - Read BEFORE You Go To Class

Whether you are thinking about saving your grades or you just feel as though you need a bit of a boost as the semester wears on, you will find that one of the simplest things you can do to get your grades up and to keep them up is to read your materials before you go to class.

It seems simple, but the truth is that reading this information beforehand can give you an impressive edge when it comes to understanding the course material and to helping it sink in.

Doing your reading will go a long way towards facilitating a better understanding of the lecture materials.  The truth of it is, that the lecture and the text are meant to be complementary, not repetitions of each other. Reading ahead will help you fill in the blanks during the lecture.

With so many of us in competitive class environments, you will find that reading ahead can give you a head start on a number of things. If there is something that is puzzling you in the text, you will discover that you can ask questions when they are relevant and fresh in your teacher’s mind.

This will get you a better response than if you are going to be reading the material late and then getting to it weeks after it was discussed. Reading ahead can also help you understand the concepts more thoroughly.

You will find that as you read, you will start to get a grasp on what is happening with the information, and then what your teacher says in class later on will further emphasize it. Think about how much more effective a student you will be if you simply read ahead before going to class!

There are plenty of great and easy study tips like this one in Get Better Grades with the Least Amount of Effort, the most comprehensive e-book on the market for this subject!

Mature Students Going Back To School

Today’s post is from Marian, a mature student going back to you to reinvigorate her career…

I went back to school as a mature student TWICE - the first time to complete my MBA and Ph.D., then +/- 10 years later for my Law Degree. Going BACK to school has its challenges - competing with younger students is one of them!

Hi Dr. Marc,
You are very Welcome!

I’m not a young person or middle age, in fact I’m a senior citizen returning
to college to begin a new career. My reason for taking this course is that
I’m not savvy with the different learning techniques of today and I really
need help studying. It’s a real challenge for me beginning a new career, and
learning computer technology. I am going to review your book and hopefully
retain what I read.

Thank you.

Marian

Some of the suggestions I can make to ease the transition is to:

Ace your next exam by solving it in advance!

I am including another testimonial from Andrés who lives in beautiful Costa Rica because I think he adds a very personal perspective to the process of Getting Better Grades With The Least Amount Of Effort that will inspire and motivate you.

My grades have gone up and are still going up with very little extra effort. The thing is that I caught it right on the edge and believed I was doing the right thing from the beginning. I have no doubt that doing what I did at the very end of the semester could help me if I apply it at the beginning of the semester. It’s exactly what you say in your book just that you have to practice like you had the test that same week.. for a couple of weeks and don’t stress by trying to do it all at once.

Once you have a system you can use it in the exam and since you have practiced many times  you can check with your teacher to remove any mistakes before the exam. That’s where I lost  points in my exam, that I could have prevented.

From extremely low marks on my university test grades I have gotten back on track with some incredible success. Why is it that once you actually think that you are doing something productive and it is extremely beneficial it ends up being not so great after all?

It’s hard to get out of old habits and I will still be giving it all my effort. This has been a life-changing experience that takes me to a new breath of life above my own frustration. There are unlimited possibilities but limited time to find them. I believe it is not until you’re put to test that a door opens for you. The answer is that you live within your world of thoughts and experiences. Nobody perceives it like you do or thinks what you think.

Sincerely,
Andrés Acosta Egea

Speed Reading Tips Revealed

Speed Reading is a skill that will help you get better grades with the least amount of effort - GUARANTEED.

If you haven’t yet purchased my Speed Reading Video Program, click on the hyperlink and get started right away - Join Nahyan and thousands of others who are well on their way to becoming successful speed readers!

One of my ’students’, Nahyan asked me two great questions:

1) How do I increase focus/comprehension? I am learning as I read, but not to the level I want.

As I mentioned in the previous post, you need to give yourself time to ‘catch up’ to your new reading speed. Be patient but persistent. Depending on your rate of increase in reading speed and WHAT you are reading your results WILL vary. The good news is that you are improving AS FAST AS YOU CAN. When I learnt to speed read, I was reading both BUSINESS BOOKS as well as novels so that I had some variety. Obviously there is little to understand in a novel so that is when I picked up the pace and read as quickly as possible. When I got to the business books (my MBA courses), I was able to speed right through all the ‘fluff’ and slow down when it got technical.

Don’t Speed Read Too Fast

If you’re purchased my Speed Reading Video Program, you’re on your way to doubling your reading speed. Just like driving a car for the first time - you don’t want to go TOO FAST TOO QUICKLY.

G’day Marc,
I am practicing but I don’t seem to be enjoying the book as much. I am reading RICHARD BRANSON’S new book. Am I reading too fast? I watched 2 videos is there another one? I have a feeling I’m missing something thanks mate.

Garry

The first problem you have that holds you back from reading fast is the movement of your eyes. Once you get your eyes coordinated, the next obstacle is your brain’s ability to keep up with the words and thinking at a FASTER pace.

Like anything else, it’s a skill you DEVELOP over time. If you’re focused on ‘enjoyment’ your focus is in the wrong place - focus on PROGRESS and the enjoyment will return. It will return because it will become intuitive, natural and easy.

There is nothing missing - all you need to do is TRUST the PROCESS and let it ‘happen’ for you.

The GREAT NEWS is that you’re actually doing it and you will start to experience more and more ease as you continue…

Don’t expect miracles, but do expect breakthroughs!

P.S.

If you’re having any issues or concerns, let me know and I’ll address them with you 1:1 or via this public forum.

If you want to test you reading speed to prove to yourself you CAN read much faster, then click below.

Speed read at 600 words per minute.

Speed read at 1,000 words per minute.

This is exactly what is going to happen once you’ve mastered this skill - the words will ‘fly off the page’ into your mind effortlessly - like magic. If you can do it off the screen, it means YOU ARE CAPABLE - you just need to COORDINATE your eyes to get them OFF THE PAGE!!!

Teach your kids to study better

Today’s post is about thinking about studying a little more generously - teach someone else to get better grades. As you teach them, you’ll learn what you KNOW even more and you’ll discover what you don’t yet know when they ask you questions.

That will help you fill-in-the-blanks more quickly…

P.S.
Of course if your new ’students’ ask you a question you don’t have an answer to, you can always post it on the blog as a comment and I will answer it for you!

You’re not in school to learn Calculus or Chemisty

You’re in school to learn HOW to learn.

I am pretty sure it was Albert Einstein said it best when he said “Education is what you remember after you’re forgotten everything”.

That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t study to get As or High Distinctions.

It just means that if you adopt a ‘bigger picture’ of why you’re there, you’ll enjoy the process a lot more, find it easier and you will achieve better grades.

I had a professor of strategy in my MBA program who, once I had been accepted into the Ph.D. Program asked me “are you enjoying the Ph.D. Program as much as your MBA?”

My automatic response (at the time) was “No”.

He said “I know why.”

Of course I pushed him for the revelation (that changed my academic career forever)…

He explained “When you did your MBA, you knew, when you started exactly when you would finish (my program was a 2-year Executive MBA with a pre-set schedule). With a Ph.D. Program, it’s an individual pursuit with a beginning, but no pre-set end. In fact most students never finish/graduate. That’s why you are not enjoying it as much as you should/could. There is no ‘timeline’ to it.”

“Wow!”

I couldn’t believe how true that was. From THAT DAY ONWARD, I cherished every single day I was a Ph.D. student, or a student of Law, or a student of company governance or student of squash.

I know that if you’re in grade school or high school this may be reaching a little beyond your current consciousness, but TRUST the process and TRUST that you need to ENJOY the journey to make it as successful as it can be for you.

Give it some thought and don’t rush to a conclusion.

Speed Reading Secrets Revealed

Today’s post is a response to a comment from Virginia who purchased my Speed Reading Video Program that guarantees you’ll DOUBLE your reading speed within one hour.

She said it would help if I gave her additional distinctions to help her get to the 1,800 words per minute that completely changed my academic career.

Just so we understand each other - I completed my MBA, Ph.D. and Post-Graduate Law Degrees WHILE working or growing my businesses FULL TIME… That’s the point - you can have it all when you have the right study techniques whether you’re in high school, college or university.

Speed Reading is all about getting your eyes to read faster - if you want to test how quickly you can read RIGHT NOW, watch the YouTube video below to read at 600 Words per Minute Right Now.

SPEED READ 600 WORDS PER MINUTE RIGHT NOW

Once you’ve done that, give it a go at 1,000 words per minute…

SPEED READ 1,000 WORDS PER MINUTE RIGHT NOW

This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that you CAN SPEED READ.

The $1 million question is how do you do that with your textbooks?!?!

Of course you need to buy my speed reading course, but there are a few distinctions I want to share with you that will help you once you’ve bought it.

  • You need to practice the technique EVERY TIME you’re alone so that it becomes intuitive and AUTOMATIC. Like any sport, you can’t MASTER a technique without practice.
  • I explain in the video program why you don’t want to do this in public or in front of anyone UNTIL you MASTER it, then you can show off all you want :-)
  • Within 3 to 10 hours of actually doing the technique, you WILL have or get close to your breakthrough - you’ll sense the excitement and you’ll KNOW the feeling - KEEP going until you CRASH RIGHT THROUGH THE BARRIER!!!

I can remember when I was doing my coursework for my Ph.D. Program - I was taking a FULL-TIME course load of 4 seminars while my classmates were taking 2. At the end of the semester, everyone was complaining about the reading load - we had to read the equivalent of 3 full textbooks…

The professors asked each student how much time they spent READING for the course and the average Ph.D. student was reading an incredible 18 hours/week for this one seminar. Plus the term papers and seminar sessions…

When I was asked, I couldn’t reveal I was speed reading - otherwise I would have had to teach everyone and that was a burden I didn’t want so I said “There wasn’t more reading in THIS course than in my other courses” and left it at that.

No one ever knew I was speed reading.

Only my professors knew I was taking DOUBLE the COURSE LOAD.

One of the tricks I used to read faster, because at 1,800 words per minute, the biggest time waster is turning pages… is that I would get 2 pages photocopied per 8.5×11″ or A4 sheet and copied back-to-back so that once placed in a binder, I was able to read 4 pages every time I turned the page once.

That alone helped me go from speed reading 1,200 to 1,800 words per minute.

Before you get to that point, you need to buy my Speed Reading Video Program and practice.

To motivate you, I’ll tell you a TRUE STORY…

One night, when I was studying for my Ph.D., I read from 7 to 10 PM,
a total of 3 hours. At the time, I was reading 1,800 words a minute.

The average person reads 300 words per minute. That means I was 6
times FASTER than my classmates.

It also means that they had to spend 18 hours, that’s all day
Saturday and all day Sunday reading exactly what I read on Friday
evening…

Which do YOU think is easier?

But here’s the real kicker - SPEED READING means you have to FOCUS
and CONCENTRATE which means you understand, comprehend and REMEMBER
more…

That meant that the time I needed to study/review was also a fraction
of the time my classmates needed.

That meant I was able to complete my Ph.D. Coursework as a part-time
student with a FULL TIME COURSE load in less than 18 months.

Several years later, I was able to complete a post-graduate Law
Degree in 8 months without any of my co-workers knowing I had a
FULL TIME COURSE LOAD even though I was registered as a part-time
student.

I graduated with Distinction or High Distinctions in all my courses.

The #1 reason is that I can speed read.

Now that you’re motivated, go and buy my Speed Reading Video Program - it’s only $47 and guaranteed to DOUBLE your reading speed within one hour.

Onward and upward!
Dr Marc Dussault

P.S.

Speed reading is one of the easiest and quickest skills to learn - and the most explosively powerful for your academic career.

Don’t hesitate - you could be speed reading within the next hour and I promise you once you do, you’ll never look back.

Study Tips Revealed

Today’s post is a series of questions from Virginia Buratto.

You say “use coloured pens” (by the way almost everyone knows this technique) but you don’t say if one should read a text first and then highlight it or if he should highlight straight away or if it is better to read the whole book a couple of time before dividing into sections and start studying.

First, just because ‘almost everyone knows this technique’ doesn’t mean I should ignore it. In fact quite a few students either don’t know it OR don’t do it. Just look around at your classmates’ note books and you’ll see most STILL DON’T DO what works.

The question on highlighting is a GREAT ONE. I suggest you SPEED READ your material FIRST. Then and ONLY then will you know, AFTER reading it what is important and what is NOT. Then you can go back and highlight accordingly. Ideally, you do this BEFORE your class as the SECOND pass.

Because I teach SPEED READING, I suggest you learn that skill. If you haven’t yet bought my video program, it’s only $47, buy it now. It’ll pay for itself with the first hour when you at least DOUBLE your current reading speed. If you don’t SPEED READ, that’s unfortunate because it’s an easy skill to develop so I don’t really have suggestions for non-speed readers. Sorry.

Moreover you never mention any memory techniques (and that surprised me a lot). Why? Do you think they are overrated? I truly expected the book to present a system that combined speed reading for comprehension and memory techniques for remembering was able to make the difference for every student.

When I wrote this book, I wanted to keep it SIMPLE and to the point. Otherwise it ends up being a big, thick, complicated book. The strategies I teach WORK for EVERY SINGLE PERSON who applies them. I have not found the need for memory ’systems’ and you are the first person to mention this. BUT I have to be honest - if you are NOT SPEED READING, comprehension and memory will be a problem. SPEED READING decreases the time it takes to read, but it also dramatically improves comprehension and memory WITHOUT having to learn any systems.

Before ending this letter I would like you to know that I didn’t mean to be rude or to offend you in any way. I truly admire you and look up to you for what you have been able to do in your life. I simply feel like that in this book “the meat ” isn’t there (let me point out that instead the speed reading course is very well done).

Virginia, I understand your perceptions and I know many people would like it to be ‘more complicated’, but it’s not. That is the POWER of the book’s message. Once you ‘own’ these strategies, your grades will improve and you’ll come to realise the GIFT I am giving you - Getting Better Grades With The Least Amount Of Effort is all about “The Least Amount Of Effort” bit.

This is lost on many people and I know you haven’t missed that message. You are not alone - people WANT it to be more complex and complicated, that way they won’t feel as bad about what they haven’t done all this time. Once they get over it, they realise the STRATEGIES are SIMPLE, EASY and STRAIGHT FORWARD. That is why they are so powerful and within EVERYONE’S REACH.

Complex memory techniques are not - they require training - training that can be avoided with what I teach.

In your book you say that we should model those who are better than us in a particular field by asking them questions. So if you don’t mind I would like to ask you some questions. When you where studying law what were you doing? Did you study in the morning or late night? How long was every study session? Did you find it hard to concentrate after a certain amount of time studying? Did you read the whole book a couple of times before highliting it or what? How did you remember things?

I always study at night. You need to determine what works best for you. I prefer to study for several hours at a time and get into the ‘groove’ of my thoughts. I will read whenever and wherever I have the opportunity. On a plane, waiting for a plane, for an appointment, etc. I carry my reading material with me EVERYWHERE I GO. That is the KEY to optimal time management. I only SPEED READ the material ONCE. I then highlight it AFTER I have read it. Memory is not a problem when you SPEED READ and use the strategies in my book. No one who has applied the strategies has ever asked for memory or comprehension ‘assistance’.

Thank you so much. English isn’t my first language that’s the reason why my English isn’t always correct and easy to understand.

Thanks again
Virginia Buratto

If you think you don’t retain as much by speed reading, you’ve got it all wrong. I’ll prove it to you.

Think of one of your MOST BORING TEACHERS…

I bet you he/she spoke VERY, VERY SLOWLY.

The reason I know that is because the slower you read, the less you focus and the less you remember.

The FASTER you read, the more you understand AND remember.

Speed reading is a MUST-HAVE skill for any serious student. It’s the difference between being a ‘bookworm’ and having a fun student lifestyle. Imagine reading 6 times faster than your classmates - what would that do to your grades?

When I was studying for my first Ph.D., I was reading 1,800 words/minute which meant that I was 6 times faster than my classmates. On a Friday night, from 7 to 10 PM I would read for 3 hours, and then watch a movie and go to bed. My classmates had to spend ALL DAY Saturday and ALL DAY SUNDAY to read what I had read on Friday night.

That meant I had the WHOLE WEEKEND to do whatever I wanted - additional study, or in my case, I was DOUBLING the SALES and TRIPLING my PROFITS while I was opening up a second branch office!

How To Deal With “Flunking” An Exam

We’ve all been through times in our lives when we’ve studied and studied for an exam and still bombed out, due to nerves, distractions or some other reason right?

Maybe you’re dreaming of becoming a respected academic, but history and human nature dictate that you will still make mistakes on your way to that dream. You need to accept that you are imperfect, and take advantage of those mistakes instead of letting them get you down.

It’s not in times of success that we cross analyse and study where we went wrong, but in our times of failure, so you could go as far as to say that, as human beings, we need some failure so we can move closer to our success.

A baby doesn’t give up on learning to walk, it tries over and over again until it succeeds no matter what it takes!

Adults however often tend to give something only a few tries before abandoning hope.

Learn from mistakes, don’t be discouraged by them; you will succeed by putting thought into your efforts, and that ability can only come with experience. So in a way, you achieve success simply by making enough mistakes.

The more time you spend berating yourself, the lower your self-esteem sinks, and the less motivated you feel to work to solve the problem; beating yourself up creates a vicious cycle that fixes nothing. The solution is to remember that you should be disappointed in yourself not for failure, but for letting failure convince you to give in.

I call this the Vortex Of Mediocrity™. Don’t let it suck you in.

It’s a force more powerful than gravity and it surrounds you ALL THE TIME.

If you adjust your mindset so that you see everything as a success, you will never be short of optimism. Even if you put all your effort into reviewing for a test and fail it , it is important to remember that regardless of your grade the exam will be a learning experience, you did your best, and as a result you will do even better next time.

IF YOU LEARN THE LESSON - the LESSON OF WHAT DIDN’T WORK THIS TIME!

This way you never fail or truly bomb, because you’re in a space that allows you to win, even if you don’t have the IMMEDIATE results you desire.

Create mental rules that ensure you always win.  These rules will then regulate your path to success in whatever you do.

The times when you come undone mentally will be when you compare yourself to others who are better than you.

I’m here to tell you that there’s always someone, smarter, faster, more admired than you, but that doesn’t mean that you’re any less of any of that. You are you and unique in this world, the only competition you need to set is for yourself.

If you are dedicated to achieving a certain goal, you will find the way to attain it. Think back to an accomplishment that you recently strived for and had great success.

Did you doubt that you would succeed?

Isn’t it true, be honest, that in the past when you seem to have failed, it’s mostly because you didn’t really give it your all?

You have to understand that successes are only reflective of the amount of time and energy that you spend to achieve them. If you’re looking for someone to help you, but you lack the drive to help yourself, then you can expect that no successes will ever come your way.

Sometimes, even the most hard working people in the world can’t catch a break, but for them, that’s when persistence and determination come in. That is what defines real success. Like diamonds which have been formed from highly condensed carbon, true character and desired results come only from the way in which we strive to succeed under pressure.

Of course if you haven’t already done so, you could invest $27, buy my study book and take the ‘easier way’ to “Get Better Grades With The Least Amount Of Effort“. Someone’s done all the hard yards for you.

My book comes with a money-back guarantee - re-direct your perseverance and hard work in a direction that produces IMMEDIATE results for you. There is no sense in taking the long hard road when the path of least resistance has been paved for you…

Your grades are worth a lot more than the $27 cost of the book…

Believe it can’t help and it won’t because you won’t have bought it and learnt the strategies for success.
